A LIFE CHANGED
I FOUND A HOME
Gloria said no to coming to Grace Creek after being invited so many weekends before, but Easter weekend was approaching and she thought,
"Why not, it’s Easter! Might as well say yes. Everyone always goes to church on Easter."
When Gloria walked through the doors of the church that Easter Sunday, she had no idea what God had waiting for her. Before coming, Gloria said that she was very isolated and disconnected from relationships with people and with God. However, as soon as she came through the doors, she immediately felt warmly welcomed. She said that the First Impressions team played a big part in feeling like she was being welcomed into the family.
"I never felt like people were watching me. I never felt like people were judging me at all. Pastor Matt made it very clear that whatever baggage you had didn’t matter and that you were still welcomed here."
Since that first Sunday on Easter, Gloria has found a place among spiritual family that has shown her that there is a better way to live her life as a daughter of God, to be loved unconditionally, and to share that with others.
"I can’t even imagine being the person I was before. I am filled with friendships that are truly loving and real. It's amazing and I can’t even imagine myself anywhere else."
